Palais Garnier - les danseuses de Noël

These graceful ballerinas dance under the Christmas tree of Palais Garnier's gift shop.
What a view of the icy street below.

These handcrafted papier-mâché dolls are illuminated with the flick of a switch.

Palais Garnier is one of my favorite places in Paris,
for the architecture, the music, the ballets and operas, the history, and...
the Phantom.

Just wonderful Genie. I suspect they come to life at midnight.

Beautiful. I like the Christmas tree and the glimpse out of the window too. I must get to Paris at Christmas one year.

I love these ballerinas! I also photographed them last year :-) When I first entered the awesome Palais Garnier I immediately thought of the Phantom of the Opera.

Cela évoque Degas.

So pretty, Genie! And perhaps even more magical when lit ~ is that even possible?

Seeing them illuminated..my fist thought was..I want one! Then I would have to figure out how to get one in my carton.

I love these dancers-I so wanted one of these to take home-but I do not think my luggage had space for anything else.

A wonderful Paris Christmas photo. I saw the interior of the Opera Garnier for the first time this past October --- what opulence!!!! Splendiferous!

Hello to Nadege. Haven't seen your comments in a while, but then I've been a little absent myself. Indeed, it's always nice to see comments from all of the regulars.
