Must be a French girl - XXV

As the children lined up to catch a view of the spectacular
Galeries Lafayette Christmas windows,
I spotted this petite miss with her cascade of boucles (curls),
white beret, and stylish pink coat.

Yes, definitely a French girl.

I hate to add a word of gloom with your beautiful post, but it brought me back sharply to the terrible tragedy in Newtown where 20 sets of parents will never be able to spend another Christmas season with their little ones. My heart weeps for them all.

Quelle élégance! Even though your wonderful shot has been cropped, Genie, I can tell even the shoes match the béret and coat! Oh, la, la! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

You always seem surprised to find the children in France are actually French.

Oh her curls and her all around chic-ness! (Is that a word?) lol. Lovely little girl indeed, and wonderful that you have this photo.

Kate, I thought of those innocent children as I posted this scene in Paris. I am at a loss for words with an overwhelming sense of sadness for the families, the children and for all of us.

Starman, I know that there are many tourists of all ages in Paris, and so I challenge myself to discern the French children from the others. No doubt I am fooled by these little cherubs from time to time.

Thank you for your comments today. I wish that I had been able to take my two girls to see the Christmas lights of Paris when they were this age...

Bises,
Genie

This reminds me of my daughter, with similar blonde curls and pink was her colour too. She used to have a little white sailors cap which she wore incessantly with jeans and overalls.Bisous
