Square du Vert Galant

Square du Vert Galant

This little tear-drop of green is not exactly a secret place,
but it is most often photographed from the other direction
(as seen in my banner photo above).

The view from Pont des Arts gives the illusion
of a ship's bow.  You can access this little park
at the midpoint of Pont Neuf.

Une image insolite avec ses arbres dénudés.

A nice feature of this little park is that it stays open late. I spent a pleasant evening there last April watching groups of young people picnicking on the grass. The soft light of the lampadaires gave it a magical ambiance.

I have not seen this view of Paris previously Genie and we missed it on our recent trip. All the more reason to plan another trip in the years ahead.
