Église Saint Pierre de Montmartre

Église Saint Pierre de Montmartre

Built on the site of a Roman temple and a 7th century Merovingian church,
Saint Pierre de Montmartre was consecrated in 1147
and is one of the oldest churches in Paris.

Although it sits in the shadow of the grand Sacre Coeur,
it has some fascinating features and architecture.
As the sun falls on the stained glass windows,
a kaleidoscope of  color splashes on the old stone floors.

bon dimanche

Must take more notice next time I'm in Paris Genie, I missed this beauty.. Thank goodness for your images, I feel that I haven't missed a thing thanks to your captures.
P.s. Your shot for the theme day this year was so beautiful, if anything is going to help me get over my fear of flying it's images like these, merci beaucoup.

What a quiet and peaceful proof that color isn't in objects. But comes from light.
Not that we have...

The good news is that some people have light inside and can light others with brotherhood. BEYOND the color others reflect or their beliefs under their colors.

Thanks Genie for this demonstration!
Take care...

P.s. Sometimes my beliefs are inner closed doors, that avoid the entry of light. I promise... I'll throw away some of my 1147 prejudgments!

Genie, I actually gasped as I scrolled down your photo and saw the beams of light. What a gift to be there at that very moment.
