Rue de Courcelles - un lion

Rue de Courcelles

If you are walking in Paris and feel that there are eyes watching you,
just look up and you may meet the gaze of a lion,

or a giant,
or a horse,
or a nymph,
or a gargoyle!

They are everywhere you look.
If you are with children, make a game of finding animals,
characters, and faces in the architecture with a prize at the end of the day.

The French do seem to have a lot of different creatures looking down on you! I love the detail on this one. :)

Yes, that would be a great game to play with children. What a magical city!

Yet another thing to looove about Paris! (I hope you don't come home with a sore neck from looking in all directions -- not that I don't appreciate the results.) Bon rest of the long weekend to you --

I'm into gargoyles!

I like the lion you found. I have a weakness for taking photos of good carvings.

This guy looks like he's eating a rose.

Oh yes you are so right Genie, if you don't look up in Paris you miss way to many treasures. I played that game with Aimee, she's still my 'child' at 28 haha! Happy Sunday.

To me it has a very old world feeling to it.
