Manège du Parc - Parc de Monceau

Manège du Parc

This fascinating carousel in Parc de Monceau seems a bit lonely
in the fading light of a gray autumn day

Yes, it does, but such a delightful spot of color in a gray and gloomy day! Wonderful capture as always, Genie!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!

I wont be long before a new day brings children and laughter to keep it company.

I guess all carousels have to snooze sometime. It's a very sweet little one, isn't it, Genie!

Not to worry. Little school children will be for a turn on "le manège" as soon as they come out late afternoon, if things have not changed in Paris... -- Veronique

It might be lonely but it still makes a wonderful photo!

Hello Genie:
The carousel does have a wonderfully surreal quality in this fading light. Somehow, there is an air of sadness which is totally in keeping with the weather. A beautifully atmospheric photograph!

I can see one happy rider almost hidden on the right side near the center. Wonder if he skipped school?

It does—but I'm sure it sees lots and lots of petits Parisiens when the sun is up. It's a beauty!

Oh, it seems like one could ride into a magical alternate universe just by stepping on board...

It wants to have many children enjoy it! It's beautiful.. :) Carousels are meant to have many child friends or they are lonesome..
