Can you blame us? The windows of Printemps and Galaries Lafayette were calling....
and I caught the first snowflake on the tip of my tongue... what a moment!

Catching a Paris snowflake on your tongue does sound like something special!
Bibi -- I wanted to get there before the weekend crowds. With the cold and the snow it was not a problem!
Dianne -- Yes, that day there was a "dusting" of snow, but it was just the prelude of what was to come!
Shell -- "See snow in Paris" and "catch a Paris snowflake" were two things on my list.... √ check and √ check.
Bonjour! We did well to go then, as when I returned on Wednesday with John it was VERY crowded! The "big" snow was wonderful - I will email you photos tonight, and I really missed having you there with me! Looking forward to returning again soon.....
I love those lights! I remember looking at them up close last year..oh the Christmas memories :)

Lorac -- I have lived on a coast for most of my life and had a sailboat moored in a tiny harbor. During bad weather others would squeeze into the protected harbor and walk across the regulars... all acceptable there but not sure about Paris.

Imagination -- The lights really bring life to the sometimes gray skies of Paris in winter.

Oh, how we loved the windows of Printemps when my brother and I were little, living just outside of Paris. I remember one window of a ski scene with barbie dolls set up on the slopes wearing tiny parkas and pom-pom hats. I couldn't tear myself away from it!
