A little chocolate, my dear?

At A la Mère de Famille on Rue Cler, this large chocolate deer drew quite a crowd. Miam-miam!

My chocolate tempering skills need some polishing before I attempt to re-create this one at home. Lovely, Genie!

Miam miam as we say in French !
To answer your question, we do not have snow for the moment but we may have some tonight which I do not want as I fly to London tomorrow ...

I think I would have had to break off that ear and make a run for it.

Aren't we glad we know a REAL jetsetter like Laurent! :)

Now would be the time to use the expression "leche vitrine".

A little chocolate? Why, don't mind if I doe!
Does anyone actually get to eat this fabulous beast, do you suppose?

I'm going to chase Virginia for that ear!

Are those rhinestone eyebrows?

Bibi -- Miam-miam!

Shell -- My skills stop at macarons and tartes. Chocolate sculpting? uh, non.

Léia -- I think that there were 4 or 5 smaller animals in the window as well

Andy -- I think that this just might give me a "chocolate headache."

Malyss -- I agree... when we make a gingerbread house (or receive one as a gift) we never eat it

Laurent -- Safe travels to London and I hope that the weather cooperates

Virginia -- The ear is yours! Laurent is a jet setter but flying to London from Paris is 25 minutes and you can drive it in about 5 hours.

Nadege -- Leche vitrine, indeed!

o2 -- C'est vrai...

kathrin -- Merci! Big hug to you, too

Alexa -- I do wonder what becomes of these treats... so many shops have extraordinary creations. We saw a cameo of white/dark chocolate on our recent visit.

Armchair Parisian -- She may be hard to catch... the other one is all yours!

Starman -- I think that it is the gold leaf that you see on pastries -- I wonder about the antlers...

Cildemer -- Et, pour toi... un petit bout de chocolat ou peut-être beaucoup de pieces de chocolat.

Biz et bonne fin de semaine à toi aussi!

Boy she has some set of eyelashes on her. I wonder if they chocolate too.

Randy -- I want a piece of the leftovers when they take down the display!

This could be a fun and tasty way to reenact a famous scene from "The God Father". Nice find!
