kathrin -- Merry Christmas to you, mon amie and a big hug!

Suzy -- Oh, but those of us in the US still have a whole day to make that last run to the store and to wrap a gift.

Wow, I could attempt a miniature version of this at home next Christmas. Hee, my wv is 'decle'. "Decle the halls with boughs of holly..." Wishing you and your loved ones a restful and bright Christmas and New Year, Genie. Bisous!

Shell -- What a delight it has been to discover your talents of words and art, "decled" with wit and humor. Wishing you a very joyous and warm Christmas. Bises!

Ahh yes, recognized the fabulous escalators right off. The baubles are a delight. Did you get scolded for taking this one or did you get it on the fly? :)

Virginia -- Well, it was a bit of a sneak shot but there was no one around... I plan to take more of these!

Marie -- A very merry Christmas wish to you and yours and another trip to P in 2011 (?)

Pretty, Genie. But, I have had enough shopping. I don't want to go into any store for any reason.

Have a warm and happy Christmas.

Two of «Louis» favorite places in Paris are the food departments at Bon Marché and also at Galleries Lafayette.

You probably know that Gustav Eiffel designed the framework for the Bon Marché building.

«Louis» is adding a link to your blog in his right side bar.
