Eric Kayser

Eric Kayser

There are so many amazing pastries in Paris,
but this boulangerie/pâtisserie is a favorite.

For many years my daughter and I stayed just around the corner
and could smell the baguette ovens
from our beds in the early morning hours.
Eric Kayser's orignal store is here on rue Monge,
and if you are nearby you should definitely
have a "baguette Monge."

The lemon tarts are pretty tasty, too
miam-miam!

Now I don't feel so bad splurging a little last night with frozen yogurt. :-)

What an anxiety, to see this and can't to taste neither a milligram! My God..!! Which one is the most delicious? The only way to know that, is to taste all of them. But, if I try each one, the flavor of second will dilute the flavor of the previous one. To avoid that effect it would be necessary to taste a sip of wine between one and next. That would take some hours, and now we are talking about a complete party... And that's exactly what you gave me Genie, in this picture... A whole party, including the miracle of a "miam-miam"!!! Thank you so much Madam... I love to become a child when I watch one of your pictures. Blessings for you, your family and all the people like you and your friends... and for sure, for Paris! Merci beaucoup...

Sometimes I think it is cheating to post pastries like these because they would be beautiful no matter the photographer. Thank you for your comments today, and Danar, you really gave me a chuckle as I think about a taste of pastry, and then a sip of wine, and then a taste.... Well, that would definitely be a party!

bon dimanche,
Genie

Chocolate and macarons and meringue—oh my! I think we were smart to stick to baguettes only. :~}
