In June just a few doors from our hotel on Rue Jacob was Ladurée. The room adjacent to the usual sales room was set for le petit déjeuner. It looked lovely and elegant with its crisp linens, roses, and china.
Did we enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Ladurée? Non, we just grabbed a variety of macarons and headed to Église St. Madeleine where we devoured them all on the flower-covered steps. miam-miam!

This looks inviting ~ and I'd have followed your lead and gone for the macarons on the flower-covered steps, instead. Such choices as these are lovely things to have...
How utterly elegant and those roses are many and beautiful! a touch of class for sure.

Looks good, but I'd have headed to the Madeline, too, macaroon in hand.
This is making that hard-boiled egg in my kitchen look decidedly less appetizing! Though I think you were right to opt for macarons-to-go. :~}
Macarons for breakfast, ooh la la! How lovely and delicious! Emory was so wonderful, Genie, I got my picture taken with Dooley! They did a really nice job, I would totally recommend going to your reunion if you ever get the chance! Bonjour! XX!
Macarons on the fly!!! Miam miam.
I HEART Ladurée!!

Tasty petit déjeuner in delightful, natural surroundings. Très bien.
No criossants? Quelle domage!
What beautiful roses and that breakfast looks scrumptious.
Shell -- You simply must join us next time and bring your art supplies. We'll devour macarons while you create!
Dianne -- It was a shame that the evian crates were in my background but it did not spoil the beautiful setting for me. I really did not think that I could reposition my shot before hearing a kind request that I leave.
Alexa -- Le sigh, as I ate my Raisin Bran cereal this morning I was longing for something more special. You can run away with us to eat macarons on the steps, too!
Shari -- So cool! Dooley has been around a very long time. Glad that you had a fabulous weekend!
Virginia -- Moi aussi! miam-miam!
Rob -- It is hard to go wrong with food in Paris. Just stay away from McD -- what a travasty!
Loree -- The setting was lovely, and in Paris you know that the pastries are going to be divine!
Bibi -- Come go with us -- We'll have macarons a-plenty!
Yum Yum and Yum! Sounds like a plan! :)
That looks so wonderful! But I would have loved that latter.
Good people and macarons—in Paris no less. Count me in, s'il te plait!
Is this a ladies' trip? Because my WV is "scornmen." :~}
I would love to spend an hour sitting there, relaxing with a nibble. So lovely! But I'm sure I'd ruin it by getting crumbs everywhere!
James -- You are included in the plan.
Randy -- You too!
Alexa -- I think we'll be inclusive for anyone who wants to join us. It took me two months of blogging to know what people meant by "wv" -- That is a funny one!
Sara -- I think you would enjoy sitting on the steps eating les macarons with us for sure!
Starched white tablecloths make everything on top of it look so inviting, not that these goodies need any help at all.
Kate -- You can join us for les macarons at Église St Madeleine steps also! Are you in Paris right now?
Such a pretty display!
