Pont Alexandre III

Pont Alexandre III

Adorned with gilt, ironwork,
and more details than can be seen in a single photograph,
Pont Alexandre III is a great spot for photographs.

At night you can enjoy the lights
of La Tour Eiffel with reflections on the Seine.

I thought this one was the grandest bridge across the Seine Genie.

Hello Genie,

The quality of the ironwork really does reflect the grandeur of another era. And, so it is in Budapest, too. The skill needed to create this delicacy of decoration in iron is quite incredible. Beautiful, yet strong.

My favorite bridge, I think! So elegant! I just put together a Paris in Black and White book -- if I had this picture in my "done by me" collection, I surely would have included it! Gorgeous!

An amazing bridge. I could write a scene set on it.

It's superb—and with a wonderful building anchoring it at either end too!
