Last to Leave the Party....

As the last rays of sunlight reflect off the water, this lone gull surveys all that is his after a busy day in Jardin des Tuileries.

Tomorrow it begins anew.

This works so well with the green chairs and that lovely long view behind. Gulls are always fascinating to photograph - I put one on Monte Carlo DP yesterday, so snap!

I remember my first visit to Paris and seeing these gorgeous chairs filled with Parisiens just enjoying the day - it was and is superb. x

I was only there 4 weeks ago. My heart aches for the place. Oh to sit in those green chairs again. A-M xx

How sweet ~ enjoying a little quiet time before heading home to the family.

You really feel the end of the day atmosphere! ... but before the "tomorrow", there may hopefully be some other later night pleasures!

Genie it looks as if he's doing a dance step - I love it! My photos of this spot are all filled with people, it's nice to see it empty..

Oh this picture brings back great memories. Aimee had her first 'escargot' in one of the little cafe's in the Jardin des Tuilleries and we stayed in The Hotel Regina which had a view of the gardens and the Louvre from our window. How I would love to be there again.

Thanks for the memories Genie

Nicely done, Genie. Your narrow depth of field is good here.

Hi Genie ~I think that lone seagull looks lost - maybe all her friends left the party and she is left looking a little bewildered among the green.

I love those green chairs. I'd sit there all day if I lived in Paris! And look how you captured that gull with his leg crossed!

What a delightful capture, Genie! I'd love to be sitting in one of those chairs right now, having a meaningful conversation with Sir Gull! Hope your week has gone well!

Well, that's a jaunty-looking bird—a real "flaneur"!

I knew it was les Tuileries as soon as I saw the chairs.

Good for him to be the last to leave - he is now famous on the www :)
