Merci indeed. I have heard that everything recently be revamped and given a lick of paint. How considerate of dear Paris!x
Et merci à toi, Genie! Cette grille est magnifique et prend tout son attrait, ainsi rénovée.Ah Paris!... restera toujours Paris.
Now THIS is good....
Paris certainly looks after it's city! I love the colourings in your photo Genie - magnifique!
A beautiful picture with the blue sky!
Gold, blue sky, repeating patterns &Paris all add up to an interesting photo.
I like the gold spears echoing the building behind. Nice shot, Genie.
I love this garden!Your composition is fantastic, the spears are huge and beautiful!I'm also enchanted by the blue intense in the sky!hugsLéia
Paris is so overwhelming...so much to see I cannot take it all in.Genie, your camera zero in on such beautiful sights that I would other wise miss. Merci!
Yes, and they do it so well!
An unusual composition, beautiful light.....lovely! I can imagine Roman legions marching with these(a lighter version perhaps).Enjoy your day! xx
I echo Forest Dream Weaver.
i echo all of the above !!and guess what ! ? I am on my way to Paris ;-)
They do look very Roman don't they. What a beautiful blue sky in the background. Sam
Great shot! This is a detail you might overlook.
They do look like lovely Roman spears.
Very nice. The comparison of the gold tips to pointed spears looks very appropriate. The gold really "dresses up" the fence.
I suspect the French use nearly as much gold paint as they do dark green.
I love the angle with the Louvre glowing in the background. Great shot!V
Fantastic capture of that beautiful fence and I do remember that one! How could you forget it??? Love the golden color that seems cast over everything! I love it, Genie! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!Sylvia
What an amazing eye you have! Stunning photo!
Merci, indeed—and to you, of course, for seeing and sharing!
I have seen many things being cleaned and/or painted, but I've never seen anyone working on the fences or gates.
Geniewhat a beautiful and stylish blog!congrats!greetings from São Paulo!Denise
To all -- Thank you for all your comments and I will be visiting your blogs little by little this week as I am working "beyond" -- I am glad that you liked the gold paired with the blue sky as much as I did when I snapped it...Merci to all!Bises,Genie
They look dangerous... and made me think of how Romy Schneider´s (You know this Austrian actress?) son died... But the light is perfect!
I agree - much effort, and yet they do it!
