I like the mood of this picture: the special light, the man that is obviously tired by his work and needing this little moment of peace, the asiatic man working in Paris..a good departure for a writing class, a lot of tales to imagine..
Like Ciel, I know all about how people feel about the smoking/cooking chef! But what the hey? He makes a terrific subject for a great photo! I love France, I love the French and I loved every minute that I was able to be there. And unlike what you hear a lot of Americans complain about, everyone treated my husband and I in the very best, welcoming, helpful and fun way! Now who asked me to get on my soap box????? But I do love France! Hope you have a great week!

Sad that it's almost tomorrow and I'm only getting here now! I think maybe this guy's job is as stressful as mine. At first I wondered what he was thinking about—then decided the answer is . . . nothing! Good capture, Genie—and perfect in b&w.
I like the typical moment you captured, Genie. For this cook, it was probably a moment like many on a day like many, but your capture now makes it special.
