On a walk in the Marais with Mary, Marie, Virginia and Peter we came upon this store window.
It was an artistic display of tools but on reflection (no pun intended, bien sûr) I am not certain whether it was the creative expression of the store or indeed an art display. In the Marais either would be possible!

Well, whatever it is, it's quite fascinating, Genie. Something at which one could look, and consider, for quite a while. Thanks for sharing this intriguing photo.
This is a wonderful photo. Great bw.
What a marvellous juxtaposition ~ really beautiful, Genie!
I'm laughing because I think this might have been when you and Marie wandered down a side street that day. I asked Peter where you were and he laughed and said, "You are worried that they found something without you! " Oui, guilty as charged. I think this is one of those wonderful, quirky Paris window displays.
Nice find, even if it was "without me" :)
Very creative! Nice find, Genie. I just looove Parisian window displays (even when it's a window full of rats at Aurouze Exterminators).
This does not look like Gerard Mulot's window to me...
Hmmm
I love the reflection of the beautiful building.
I love hand tools and I'm very familiar with those bolt cutters on the right. I wonder what kind of statement they were trying to make??
Fascinating photo -- and here I was just looking into the window!
Oh, I very much like this.
Reminds me of something from Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin!
I am so enjoying reading back on the comments and thank you all for continuing to post them in my absence.
This window is so Parisian to me: quirky, interesting, and not quite sure about their message (if any at all). I did like the reflection in the composition. Quite often I get a reflection that I could definitely do without!
Virginia, you are too funny!
What cool picture. We'd love to have you link to Weekend Reflections. :) Black and white was the perfect choice - imho.
James -- Thank you and I will see if I can figure out how to do that.
