The Fountains of Pol Bury are found in the Gallery d'Orléans which separates the courtyard of Palais Royal from the garden. Since 1990, the traditional noon-cannon sounds every day.
Oh, Genie, what a great shot! You really captured the water in motion. I loved this fountain and found the few balls that moved when they filled absolutely fascinating.
Beautifully composed, Genie! When I first saw this fountain, I actually didn't like it. I've since totally changed my mind, but, as you say, they should keep it polished.

Alexa -- Every time I see it there are obstructions which keep you from getting a photo from certain angles. It really is a neat fountain.
JM -- Anish Kapoor is an amazing artist/architect/engineer... I would love to see one of his installations similar to this fountain (like "the world upside down") but I can not remember where it is.

KW -- Yes, I love the motion too and could watch this fountain for a long period of time. Because there was much construction in this area (en juin) it was not conducive to just hanging out.

Yours is the first picture of these that actually looks like it might be a fountain. We go to Barcelona on 3 Septembre.
