Cimetiere Montparnasse

Montparnasse Cemetery

This cemetery is the resting place
of many of Paris' intellectuals and artistic elite.

You will find quiet paths and an easy walk as you recognize
19th and 20th century writers and artists.  I was pleased to find
the graves of Brassai (photographer)
and Bartholdi (sculptor of the Statue of Liberty)

Cimetiere Montparnasse
3, boulevard Edgar Quinet
75014, Paris

Lavender-colored blossoms are so very beautiful, especially as contrasted with the stone.

The fallen blossoms really stand out against the tombstones.

The blossom provides a welcome brightness to sombre grey of the cemetery Genie.

Fresh flowers on a tomb... true love... Because "Beyond the form, the presence".
Rest in peace every one.
Thank you Genie, this one is a total meditative visit.

The contrast was what struck me too. Beautiful!
