Église Saint-Louis des Invalides

2012 Mar 29 Paris_160DSC_4843

Église Saint-Louis des Invalides

Today is Epiphany, twelve days after Christmas in the Gregorian calendar, marking the end of the Christmas season.  It is also commonly known as Three Kings' Day, Twelfth Night, or the Feast of Epiphany.  It is one of the oldest Christian feasts and has been celebrated since the end of the second century.

Today I will be making a galette des rois for my family
and will share the recipe with you tomorrow.

bon dimanche

Love this detail ... Spears bundled together? Can't wait for the recipe. Perhaps this year I will make galette des rois for my birthday cake!

I always love it when you focus in on a detail like this, Genie. Sometimes it's hard to see the trees for the forest, so to speak, but you always manage both beautifully!

Le faisceau Romain. Il fut bien mal utilisé par la suite.

Michelle, look at my Saturday post for a sample photo. I will be posting my recent creation in a few days along with a more French recipe. I have made both and with the basic ingredients it is hard to go wrong!

M, I would put a candle on it for your birthday!

Alain, merci pour le mot

Bises,
Genie
