It does look cold there in the garden. When we visited it last May it was very warm and the roses were in full bloom – I need to do a post on it – maybe in 2012… I wish you a joyful New Year and hope that in 2012 you will show us many lovely photos from our lovely city.
A great image. It has an air of mystery to it.Happy New YearHelenxx
Le Palais Royal looks so much better without the awful Colonnes de Buren, doesn't it, Genie? ;-) Bonne année! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
the palais royal garden is too hot or too cold, never never ever just perfect.happy new year!
Just as I like it. Have a happy new year Genie!

Peace, quietness, time to rest..For me this picture is very inviting, no matter grey sky and cold weather!Happy New year to you, dear Genie!
These remind me of those old chairs you had to pay for to sit on them; but these look a bit more comfortable. Nice BW.
sending best wishes to you and your dad on this last day of 2011. here's hoping 2012 will get some color back in its cheeks.
It does look like you could have it all to yourself.Bonne année et bonne santé Genie.Sam
Would love to sit down there with a good friend and a glass of champagne!Silence!Cheers to the last day of this year and cheers to your beautiful blog, Genie!Bonne année!Amicalement et bisou, karin
What could be more divine? Bonne année chère Genie,V
It seems kind of sad. All the best in 2012. See you then.
On a cloudy day in November, I prefer the cozy warmth of the nearest café.
The only thing missing would be a bottle of wine and a good book.
A friend gave ma Doisneau book for Christmas where he talks about photographing the chairs of Paris. Just like this!
I think it has a very 'Doisneau' look about it too Genie, many of your B&W's have that very special feeling. I would take sitting in this garden whatever the weather.
What a wonderful way to spend a day in solitude. While it may look dreary and cold, it would appear to me to be the perfect place for pensive thoughts!Kris
Looks like a nice spot to sit and contemplate the universe...with a glass of wine and all bundled up!!!
