Le camion vert?

Although this little zoom-zoom was seen in a shop window,
I wonder its intended use.

Maybe we should take it out for a spin?

Vive la besace Upla! I meant to order one of these for Christmas and forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me, Genie. ;-) I have no idea about the little "zoom-zoom" but it makes for an unusual display... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Oh, you also took a photo of this green zoom-zoom! Sorry for not commenting lately, I have a new job and a crazy working schedule.

This is the kind of vehicle you could see everywhere in Italy until some years ago! they are easy of use, and small , therefore, very useful in cities where problems of traffic are an everyday situation. They were used by delivery men, mostly, but also sometimes by poor families for who it was the only way to travel a little faster. You often see them in old italian movies.

Le triporteur a connu ses heures de gloire dans les années 50-60. C'était très pratique pour les commerçants qui pouvaient alors syationner sur les trottoirs. On y voyait même, souvent, un chien à l'arrière.
Bonne journée, Genie!

As long as there is a hill and we are going down I think we would be OK.

Reminds me of those little Indian Tut Tut's !

Perhaps its purpose is to entice passersby to stop...admire...and take photos to share with the world. : )I'll take the bag in the driver's seat.

Love the scooter (gorgeous green) but more so the bags!

Ooh! I hope I get one in my Christmas stocking this year! The bags are optional. Wouldn't want to be greedy.

In Paris, they're mostly used by the city workers.

And it sort of matches the color the Paris city workers wear too! I've seen trucks like this parked near the Mercado Centrale in Florence.

That looks like fun! :)

Un triporteur? What a perfect French word and so descriptive. Merci, Richard! I can just imagine un petit chien in the back.

Hop in and we'll take a ride... and there is a satchel for everyone! Zoom-zoom

Bises,
Genie

That thing is awesome! I'd love it to zip around my little village with my dog in the back. Actually I think I need that little thing! xo

I adore the color! I recall having seen some variation of those in Croatia when I was a kid being used for small deliveries.

That would be fun to drive to work.

I'm with you...I wonder what it is used for?

The photo is great with the bright shine and reflection, but there's something about the bilious green that makes me want to turn away!
