Eglise Saint Philippe du Roule - Illumination

Whether the lighting in the churches is from a natural source filtered through stained glass windows, from an ornate chandelier, or from simple candles, it enhances the architecture and the quiet peace within.

There's something magical about these wonderful ornate chandeliers against the internal architecture of the churches and cathedrals of Paris - they add that soft golden glow which makes me want to linger soaking up that wonderful ambience.
A lovely capture Genie. xx

So many beautiful churches in Paris, Genie. Spookily, my own post today is of the stained glass windows in one of those very churches.

I visited your blog today. What lovely photos. Yes, Paris is so pretty, and the architecture is amazing. My daughters went to Paris a couple of years ago, and it changed their life. They loved everything about it - the people, the culture, the food. Me and my daughters just started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I know they would enjoy very much coming back to visit with you and seeing all your fabulous Paris pictures. Hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

You have a lovely and serene image today, Genie. You are talking about lighting, and that is what drew my attention in this shot. It is an excellent available light shot, and the darker parts on the right side are better left slightly dark than if you had found a way to light them up.
