Beautiful, Genie. The Tuileries and the banks of the Seine between Le Grand Palais and Pont Neuf are my favourite places in the world for an evening stroll. Or indeed a stroll at any time of the day. Thank you for the reminder.
Lovely evening image. The Eiffel Tower typically dominates the skyline. I am curious to your favorite part of the city. We spent such little time up on Montmarte but really enjoyed the views of the city from there.
PS: You lucked out on the weather, I suspect. Due to really bad weather (it rained buckets), my "Springtime in Paris" experience was a total disappointment. Will have to give it another shot.
Un grand coup de la statue dans le fond de la Tour Eiffel à Paris. Comme moi, il n'est pas seulement une statue silhouette. Bien éclairée. Beaucoup de salutations! Peter.
There are some days in which in a period of an hour or two I can just load my memory card with images. The camera is happy, the lighting is perfect, and the details present themselves.
This time of year, Paris delights us with "extended daylight" hours. One can get exhausted staying up late and getting up early, but I can always sleep when I get back home.
The barricades are already lining Ave des Champs Elysées in preparation for the 14 juillet parade and festivities... wish we were all there. What a party that would be!

You captured so many diverse areas in one shot.
They are all lined up! :) Nice you got the detail in the statue, mine would have been too dark!

Lovely. We missed the Tuileries when we were there but if we ever go back to Paris, I am determined to spend some time in there with my camera.
