See, now I'll have to do a happy dance while singing "meep, meep" the next time I ride an escalator (but in NYC, no one will notice). I also thought of the stairways at Hogworts when I saw these great graphic shots.
Who ate my comment?? GRRRRRRR What I THINK I said was that you were pretty brave to risk the "Bon Marché Police" that don't cater to folks photographing their fancy schmancy store! :)
JM -- The square designs on the sides and bottoms of the escalators easily provided a visual geometric exercise. Merci!
V -- Yes, I was snapping away (quickly). I don't think they mind if you get the store's architecture (same with Galeries Lafayette) but they really don't want you photographing the merchandise and/or the displays (like the hats)!
Loree -- Because they are in the center of the store, they almost seem to float. With all the geometrics a close-up look is a bit dizzying (made up word)!

Shell -- No, as they are not the unexpected treat as in le Métro. However, all of Paris makes me feel like a "happy dance."
