Patisserie reflet - Le Moulin de la Vierge

Le Moulin de la Vierge

Although there are several of these boulangeries in Paris,
this is the original shop with its wood-fired ovens.

It is worth a trip to Rue Vercingétorix
to gaze at the original tiles and mirrors,
etched glass doors, all
unchanged over the past century.

bon weekend

Hello Genie,

Yes, this definitely looks like the kind of shop that we should make a pilgrimage to. And, what interesting details there sound to be inside the shop itself. For that we shall just have to imagine!

Would it be a sin to ask for a bagel? :-)

I would love to go inside and smell what's cooking in the ovens!

So beautiful—but I might have to pick up something to snack on while I'm there. :~}

This is such a sensual photo. You can simply imagine all the texture inside, the beauty, the way it smells and of course, the tastes!

I agree with Jeanie. I love the lettering on the window too.

All good and classy things of life are written, reflected or suggested in colors. I'd like to get there, with a little hungry and taste one different product each day.
I totally agree with James and Jeanie, it'd be a pleasure ground for senses!
Thanks Genie, splendid present!

Interesting they use the term "chocolatines." I thought that was what was said in the South of France only.
