Parc des Buttes Chaumont

Parc des Buttes Chaumont

On a slightly cool, but clear Sunday afternoon in May
I happened upon this young man on a quiet slope in the park.
He was enjoying his beverage, the gentle weather, and his book.

The book:
Ecce Homo, by Nietzsche

bon weekend

It looks like a pleasant place to sit and relax.

What a nice photograph Genie. As calming as a still sea.

I love this park! The dramatic cliffs, the rope bridges, the restaurant by the lake, the general wildness of the place. Not to mention the great lunches to be had at Napoleon III just next to the Mairie.

Shoot! A little closer and I could have figured out what he was reading. :-)

I was trying to figure out what book it was -- so thanks! And don't you love it that young people in Paris read so much?
