Parc de Monceau - pelouse interdite?

Parc de Monceau

Have you seen the "Pelouse Interdite" signs
in all of the green areas of Paris telling you to stay off the grass?
Or perhaps you have seen the signs during
the winter months indicating the grass is hibernating
and to "stay off."

Parc de Monceau is one of the Paris parks
that allows you to walk, sit, play on the grass
(during the warm, green-grass months).

Before I knew better,
I once took a nap on the grass
outside of Petit Palais (around the backside).
oops!

Hello Genie,

Green areas are so welcome in a city where it is easy to be stifled in the summer heat amongst buildings. So, it is especially appealing to have somewhere where one can sit down and feel the grass on one's skin. A precious moment captured here!

Great shot in the old tradition. Its immediately clear what you are seeing in a nice composition and setting.
Today you have to many photo's where you don't see what is the meaning. I like this one.

More parks should be designed like this one so that they can be enjoyed by their visitors.

Well, you certainly made yourself right to home at the Petit Palais, didn't you? :~}

Those signs are one of the few things I don't like about Paris. You never see anything like that here in Berlin. :)

I have loved looking at your blog. My family and I just spent a marvelous few days in Paris having come up from Normandy. My first time in Paris, a magical city! I hope to explore it again one day.
