Fête de la Musique!

Fête de la Musique

If you are in France, you are surely enjoying the music today.  In Paris the streets, parks, and churches are filled with music of all genres.  I will never forget the delightful close of a very busy day as we sat on the terrasse of Pré aux Clercs and listened to the wonderful sounds of smooth jazz.  As you can tell from this photo, the jazz quartet was a visual delight as well.

For the summer solstice,
have a celebration with food and music,
centered on family and friends

Hello Genie,

It is so lovely, especially on warm days or evenings in the summer to be sitting outside and entertained with some live music. It just seems to epitomise the best that summer can offer.

Your photograph definitely conjures up that feeling. And, what a delicious looking musician. For that alone it would have been worth lingering over a long drink!

I do not know if he sings, but he could make wonderful music with the saxophone. The four musicians were indeed a treat - Marie and I sat so close we could have touched them (but we didn't).

Jane and Lance, we did linger long over our late dinner and drinks. I think that it does not get dark on 21 juin until after 11pm!

Wish that I could have been there this year.

Bises,
Genie
