Déjeuner à Chatrès

Lunch in Chartrès

A quiet table for two.
Yes, this could be just about anywhere,
but the cane chair just about gives it away.

Chartrès,
a quick train from Paris

I did have a most lovely lunch in Chartres. Everyone else went left for Pizza or right for Tacos. Larry and I walked straight ahead thru the door of the most delightful restaurant. Everyone in there was French and the waitress spoke no English. In my poor French I made mistakes ordering……… and got the best meal I had in France and enjoyed it better than almost anything that week!!! Bon Appetit!

I'm sitting at my desk munching on a sandwich, but now I can look at this and make believe I'm here (and eating coq au vin) instead. Merci!

Nice table for one. Just me and my iPad.

The drapes and cane chair are coordinated beautifully. I wouldn't mind eating there, even as a solo.
