Jardin du Palais Royal - XXXII

Palais Royal
the fountain

It may be winter,
but as long as the water will flow in this fountain,
you will find a hearty soul or two gathered around the perimeter,
feet propped.

She was sitting facing the sun
watching the patterns of the fountain.

Isn't it amazing how water attracts people. Perhaps it is some basic instinct of survival to always know where water is.

Fountains in winter! That's something you don't see here, that's for certain. What a great shot -- love the light!

The sun has turned it in to one big sparkler.

The way the light filters through the water (and her hair) is just beautiful!

I love that they don't turn the fountain off just because it's cold (as they do one near my place in Brooklyn).
