École de Filles

École de Filles

Beautiful architecture and a serene setting belies the sign indicating that between 1942 and 1944 there were 140 school age children from the 2ième arrondissement who were murdered at Auschwitz.

From today's perspective it seems impossible to think of something like that happening there.

Never forget.
