Parc des Buttes Chaumont

Parc des Buttes Chaumont
Suspension bridge

This suspension bridge leads to a large rocky cliff with a 32 meter waterfall.  The nature of the bridge construction means that there is a sway as these people walk to and fro.

If you are afraid of heights this might be one to avoid.

Hello Genie:
This is one we shall most certainly avoid! And the very mention of its swaying....!

Swaying notwithstanding, it looks like a very interesting bridge. And a very interesting location.

It would not worry me but I would never get my husband across there :-) Bonne journée. Diane

I notice not too many people are actually looking down.Interesting patterns made by the construction.....and of course it's red!

Happy weekend Genie,

You've said enough for me to know that I wouldn't be walking on that bridge. The height alone would scare me not to mention the swaying. Yikes! :)

it took all I had to go up the Eiffel Tower, but it is a great photo!

Oh no. This one is not for me. I really don't like heights. I don't even like heights in movies.

I would love this.

When I return to Paris perhaps I can get a shot from the other direction or even looking down.

Ruby, thanks for noticing the red and I failed to mention it. That is probably why the shot appealed to me in the first place.

I imagine all of you who are a bit queasy might be unhappy if I were to jump up and down in the middle. I really do not think that any Parisians would ever imagine acting the fool on a bridge such as this.

In the US we would have to have warning signs that this bridge might be of danger to those with certain conditions and we would absolutely have safety guards. Can you imagine if the Seine were in the US and we would have to have guard rails right on the banks.... hummmm

Hope that you all have a delightful weekend.

Bises,
Genie

Oh.. a suspension bridge, eh? :) I'd have to be dared to cross it, i think! I can feel my belly flipping a little just seeing it in the picture! Great photo though.

This is a great looking bridge. I think I could brave the walk across it.
