Les couleurs de Paris - le rouge!

la porte rouge

Paris enjoys an abundance of red doors

This is my contribution to a five-color series of photos,
and with this I blush in homage to le rouge

Hello Genie:
Not only is this a brilliant colour but the door itself is so very handsome. And we imagine that a very stylish interior lies behind, with someone on hand to buff up the brass!

Maybe Elizabeth Arden is behind that red door!

As you know blue doors catch my eyes more often than the red ones, but that doesn´t mean that I don´t love red doors. I´m always happy to see bright colours.

What a lovey shade of rouge. I would be happy every time I opened that door.

WOW! I recently photographed some church doors that are identical. Once a church, now a restaurant.

Ooh la la...the perfect shade of red on a beautiful door. I love the number 42 above the door. :)

No 42 is looking good Genie, so is No. 47 that's my door and it's also red haha! I didn't realize it was a Paris 'thing' and am delighted to find this out.

This door is a lovely specimen of red, beautifully maintained and positioned with a frame of light stone and green vine. Vreni is correct that there are probably more blue doors in Paris than red ones. Between the two of us, there are probably not too many blue ones that we have missed, haha!

Grace, I wish that I could walk a few doors down from this #42 and find "you" at #47!

Only two colors to go, and tomorrow is Sunday so....

Enjoy your weekend!

Bises,
Genie

Love the red in this which is stimulated by the blue number plate above the door
