Hi Genie,

I remember when I was young and hanging out with friends after work. Now I get to hang out with my wife and children!

Bonjour dear Genie,
This is a beautiful image, and it reminds me my daughter and her school friends, they used to meet at the park during summer and have lunch together! She is now studying in England (University) and I miss her so much! :( It's time to let them open the wings and fly! C'est la vie!
:)
Have a nice weekend dear friend,
hugs
Léia

Hello Genie:
How wonderful is this. We simply adore picnics and this, with so many friends, looks to be such a happy, relaxed occasion. What we like too is the way the image is shot from above and omits any extraneous material. Also, as it happens, there is very little in the way of colour which makes what there is even more effective.

To see these young people enjoying each others company sitting on the pavement with a bite to eat and a drink fills my heart with joy. The best things in life are free.

...the food, the wine, and Youth! Ah, to be young in Paris...but being any age in Paris isn't bad either! Genie, this is a lovely photograph, what shape they and you, their photographer, have created!

Léia, you know that you trained that little bird well and that she will spread her wings but return often.

How could they know that they were creating a lovely heart shape for a photographer. I could not have arranged them better if they had done my bidding.

Jane and Lance, all along the riverbank is opportunity to capture scenes such as this from above at street level. The impromptu atmosphere of the casual picnic appeals to me most.

Rita, you are correct... any age is good!

With good weather I may try this scene next week as a participant rather than as the photographer from above.

Enjoy your weekend, all!

Bises,
Genie

Great photo-you have to pop over as I do not have this photo but another shot of the locals on the Seine.

PS any suggestions-I am going to head back to Paris later this year and am thinking of a side trip-I just cannot think where.
