Ma Bourgogne - un verre de vin

Ma Bourgogne is a favorite spot of ma chere amie, Virginia of Paris Through My Lens, so this post is for her. Last June we met there with Virginia and her friend Mary, Marie, and Richard of Eye Prefer Paris. We enjoyed the early summer evening among friends, old and new. In December, Holly, John and I reinacted the scene (in coats)!

I can't wait to be back!

Dear Genie, you are going to have a wonderful time! I can't wait to hear and see your travels. I have just "met" virginia through the wonderful world of blogging. I would certainly be a dream of mine to connect with kidded spirits on my travels...one day ! X

France is all there in the details of this photo - the shape of the glass, the writing on the glass, the menu on the table, the way there doesn't seem too much wine left in the glass...!

Deborah speaks the truth. Even if this were a photo plucked out of "anywhere" with no context, you could tell this is France.

Nice shot. Virginia and I reenacted the scene last night also and your name came up.

I'd love a glass of that red right now.

Wonderful, Genie! I had dinner here just last week (saucisses studded with pistachios—don't even ask) and I probably shouldn't admit this, but I pocketed the glass (and left a very large tip, of course). In fact, I'm drinking a bit of red out of my Ma Bourgogne glass at this very moment!

And, next time you visit, I expect that you will procure three of those nice wine glasses, one each for Ms. Holly, Virginia and Genie.

Cath -- J'apprécie bien les vins français et je voudrais gouter ce vin dont tu me parler... J'ai écrit l'address pour l'avenir... Merci, mon amie! (Berenas)

Dianne -- I hope that I have the nice spring weather that Alexa had last week!

Suzi -- Perhaps that can be arranged on your next visit though I think that we will miss each other on this one

Richard -- Hah! C'est vrai... pour retrouves mes amis ET le verre de Bourgogne, tous les deux.

Deborah -- Not much wine in my glass but more than the other two have left in theirs!

Elizabeth -- I agree that even the simple things take on that special look of Paris

Bill -- I wish that I had been there with you and V

Harriet -- Me too, my friend... better yet, let's transport ourselves there!

Virginia -- Bien sûr

Starman -- Uh, yeah... read on about our friend Alexa!

Léia -- I will be there in less than two weeks -- Alons-y!

biebkriebels -- Well, in this photo we were sandwiched between two heaters but it was delightful

henk -- Thank you greatly for your comment... I do love the rare corners, the details, the cemeteries... (all of it). You are very fortunate to be so close

Loree -- Merci... moi aussi!

Alexa -- That sounds delicious! Hummmm... I am thinking about that glass. I have some from wineries in Napa and Sonoma and Argentina and.... I am thinking that I would really like to have one

Jack -- I am thinking you are right, but I will have trouble getting three of those in my carry-on
