Chocolat chaud? Tu en veux?

Why does a stack of cups need to be photographed? I assure you that I do not know but the silly American took their photograph.

Can you see the name on the inside of the cups? "Cafés Richard" was founded by Henri Richard to offer the finest blends of coffee, roasted to perfection.

Maybe the "silly American" recognized a wonderful, evocative, quintessentially Parisian scene when she saw it. Just a thought . . .

Très magnifique. Bear would love it.

But chocolate is dangerous for us dogs. Quelle domage! It looks so tempting.

Quelle question! Bien sûr j´en veux! I love the colours of the cups.

I always answer "yes" to that kind of question! :o)

This crazy américaine would have taken that shot as well. LOVE IT!

Alexa -- Agreed, but there was definitely some "eye rolling" at the next table... not a problem pour moi!

Duchess -- We will order a cup for Bear and perhaps a tea for your ladyship.

Vreni -- Ah bon! I love the colors also and would really enjoy drinking my morning coffee from a different color each day...

Malyss -- Oh, and certainly you would enjoy une crêpe sucre... chocolat?

Virginia -- Wish that you had been there with us that day... Then there would have been two silly Americans!

Loree -- We have a US manufacturer that makes a similar china (Fiesta) in 14 colors to mix and match as you see here

JM -- I think that we could fill the terrasse with blog friends... merci!

Jack -- Moi aussi... Alexa has a knack and talent for certain!

Stacks of cups should always be photographed, regardless of the nationality of the photographer... and I like the sound of the moelleux au chocolat too, I have a week spot for moelleux au chocolat. It goes very nicely with coffee !

Genie! I don't see any silly American around here. I really really love this shot. I think it must be the colour of the cups, and the coffee marks...it's like I can just imagine a happy rendezvous in Paris amongst friends.

I love all the color in this shot. Even though they are empty I can still imagine the smell of the coffee.

Coffee hound «Louis» would have photographed this, too!
;-D

When I see a cup of "chocolat", I think of Gilbert Bécaud singing about "Nathalie à la place rouge en Moscou".I have only once been in Paris with my mum right after the war. That was not the right time. Every body thought we were German.

Agree with you and Virginia...we're all nuts. I'd take the photo, too.

Owen -- Well, I know that I am in good company in snapping shots of dirty café dishes (hah)... I do love moelleux au chocolat and have a friend who has perfected this "lava cake"... miam-miam!

Brittany -- Merci! I was going to ask you if you had baked one of these cakes (moelleux au chocolat)... I want a virtual taste, my dear!

Randy -- The coffee is excellent and I usually order a "noisette" or "un creme (un café creme)

Louis -- Ah yes, you are the coffee hound, indeed. Don't you love these cups which are not the typical French café white.

Reader Wil -- Wonderful recollection... I just played that song for the reference "Le chocolat de chez Pouchkine..." Many thanks

Bibi - Certified nuts, my dear.

I love these colored cups ! I think you can find "Cafés Richard cups" in almost every café of Paris. But to be honest, I've never seen them in color ! :-) So I'm happy you took a picture !

I heart hot chocolate.

Genie -- Paris and Beyond said...

o2 -- I will have to be more observant on my next trip about the "brand" of cups... merci!

Sara Louise -- Moi aussi, mon amie!
