Métro, Boulot, Dodo....

Métro, boulot, dodo.... C'est lundi encore!

Monday again and it seemed a good day to post the routine... For me, it is the gym, my office (upstairs), lunch with my DH, work, etc.... How about you?

Don't you wish you were stopping off with your petit chien for a chat and the news to start your day like this Parisien?

Genie - It's a public holiday here in France today (http://www.FrenchPublicHolidays.com)- one of the ten million or so that we have!

Have a good day at work...

I'll think of you whilst I'm having my morning croissant!

All the best

Keith

Keith -- Well, I guess that my timing was not the best for this, but since it is almost 1am here and I just finished a spreadsheet with about 30 worksheets and 60 pages of a report, it seemed like a good idea. I think that I will have a grève for more holidays!

I really do hope that you (and all my French friends) have a lovely holiday. Eat an extra croissant pour moi!

My Monday looked nothing like this pretty scene, Genie, but it was a lovely day regardless. Here's to a happy week ahead!

HI genie,
My monday is looking great! Peeking around beautiful Florence - maybe even find a bargain at the markets - I think the Duamo is a must today.
It all sounds to good to be true.

Questa foto mi piace molto, perchè mi ricorda molto mio zio di spalle con il suo cane... era amche lui un barboncino, seppur nero !
Ciao Myriam :)

So very different from my day here...drive to work, read paper online if I have time, etc. Even the DH who walks to work reads the paper online. While I like the "less paper recycling" required by not getting the daily paper, there is something to be said about holding the paper (or book) while reading. Of course, we don't have such a lovely stand to get our news (national, state, local, and gossip). Hummmm - might just have to go & buy a paper today!

Alas, there are no cute kiosks around here and the papers are delivered. The benefit of that is a chance for some quiet time reading them while having breakfast with my hubby -- no croissants -- quel dommage!

After sitting in an outdoor cafe near a Metro stop and news stand ciosk, I came to the conclusion, those ciosk attendants have a fun job. They greet and meet people every morning and witness the beautiful city, it's sights and unfolding drama.

Métro, boulot, dodo.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même choise. Holiday or no holiday.

Sadly.

Do Parisans work an entire week ever? Well I don't either anymore! HA Oui, I'd dearly love to be starting my week right there with Monsieur et Fifi!

Indeed ~ I very much wish I were starting my day in Paris rather than at my desk, just dreaming of her...

Paper? Who has time to read the paper? Seriously—thanks, Genie! I can look at this photo and almost feel as though I'm there. Is this Blvd. St. Michel?

I love the news stands in Paris. My Mondays are relaxing for the most part, as I just work three days in the middle of the week then enjoy a four day weekend. I'm a retired public school educator now working part-time in a private preschool. Loving every minute of it! Happy Monday, Genie!

My day consisted of work, cooking, cleaning and ... finally ... blogging.

I did my years of boulot, dodo so now I enjoy doing other things. Today we were in the North GA Mountains and hiked to a beautiful waterfall – I did not miss the metro!

Luz -- Gracias

Shell -- Whew! Me neither...

Suzi -- Florence is beautiful with great food and wine. Oh yes, and the Duomo and the art, too! Enjoy your time.

Myriam -- Grazie!

Holly -- Glad we could catch up today

M -- No cute kiosks here either but had there been any, I would not have seen them!

Rob -- If you are the regular kiosk guy in a neighborhood, you greet the same people daily and it would be fun to enjoy the scene.

Bear -- Je suis d'accord. It was no holiday for me today either!...... sadly

Virginia -- Not often and the joke in our family about how many vacation days someone has off.... they must be a banker!

A Parisian -- Moi aussi! From time-to-time I put up the Eiffel Tower cam just to watch the sky change around that landmark

Alexa -- No time for the paper today for me either. It is Blvd Saint-Germain right at the Maubert-Mutualite Métro entrance, where the street market sets up. Place Maubert I believe.

Liz -- I like the idea of a four-day weekend too!

Loree -- Well, at least you got the chores out of the way first!

Bibi -- Merci (love your post of the couple)

Vagabonde -- I think that the North Georgia mountains are beautiful, particularly now. My parents were in Pisgah Forest for many years on top of a mountain. We made them come down to the flatlands when we found out the shenanigans Daddy was up to. Can you say "rapelling"

By the time I get up, all the fresh bread and the new newspapers are gone.

Randy -- The dogs "rule" in Paris!

Starman -- Me thinks you need to get yourself up earlier....
