I peeked into the adjacent dining area for a quick look.

You probably notice the ample servings of breads.  

Do not worry as you will walk it off in Paris.

La toque de chef

I think that this chef was just taking a break or perhaps just starting for the day on Rue Jacob.  Is it me or does la toque (chef's hat) seem just a bit too small for his head?

I do love the chef's attire and the starched hat.

Bistro Pré aux Clercs

As we near the summer solstice I am reminded of this wonderful spot, Bistro Pré aux Clercs, where friends met last June before a night shoot at la Tour Eiffel. Marie and I returned on the evening of la Fête de la Musique to enjoy salads on the terrace and listen to the delightful sounds of a jazz quartet.
