Place de la Concorde

Place de la Concorde

Statues and fountains, an Egyptian obelisk, a view of the Eiffel Tower,
the Grand Palais and the constant circulation of traffic...

Oh, and lest one forget, this largest square in Paris
was the scene of many executions.

For the yesterday picture, autumn leaves... (I know Miss Piaf is the classic, but in this case, peace within has won...). Here, my best choice:

Merci Miss Genie.

I used to work near here and often stopped awhile and just soaked up all the atmosphere.

The atmosphere is so well captured!
I liked the autumn leaves very much too.
Something wonderful must be going around, you are most inspired!

Great night shot. I like it.

Sometimes with the traffic, I think it still is a place of execution -- but a lovely one!

So pretty, even if it was a place for la guillotine!

I like it is not the typical night picture with red lines and white lines for the lights of cars or planes. That makes a more peaceful image, without motion and without sound. It invites to stop for a quiet moment for reflection, for taking conscience and get back to self, here and now, framed in the 3.000 years of obelisk's existence. I mean if I would be there in that moment, I would do first a little of reflection and then some meditation to transcend the overloaded senses.
Again Miss Genie, thank you for photographing Paris beyond the objects.
