Statues and fountains, an Egyptian obelisk, a view of the Eiffel Tower,
 the Grand Palais and the constant circulation of traffic...


Oh, and lest one forget, this largest square in Paris 
was the scene of many executions.

Palais de Justice Conciergerie



This former palace was the site of imprisonment 
for Marie Antoinette before before she was executed on the guillotine.


It is now a museum, but from the sixteenth century
to the French Revolution, this was the seat
of the Parlement of Paris

Walking back to our apartment late one night, 
we found the reflections of street lamps and the Hôtel du Louvre in the windows.
