Carrousel Jules Verne - Parc de Monceau

Carrousel Jules Verne

This carrousel tells the story of Jules Verne in the rides,
the architecture, and the art panels.

It is rather small as Paris carrousels go,
but the colors make this a focal spot in a beautiful park.

Looks like 20.000 leagues under the sea, oe 20.000 lieues sous les mers, when I was reading this as a kid

It's beautiful—and what fun it would be to ride a giraffe!

This is an enchanting carousel Genie. Jules Verne is such an icon in children's literature. I spent quite a few days lost in his books.
