Hugo et Victor
This round of mouth-watering tart slices will have you pressing your nose to the glass. Well, you will unless they give you the "look" and you remember that you are not in a dream of your own...
Hugo et Victor is the creation of Hugues Pouget who was formerly the pastry chef at Guy Savoy. Pastries are categorized as either "Hugo," reinterpretations of the classics, or "Victor," traditional desserts created with an edge.
The shops look more like the displays of fine jewelry than pastries and chocolates with glass cases and downcast spotlights. For my taste, the chocolates are more outstanding than the pastries.

I'll take one of each!
Those look really good!
Once again, you've showcased that French talent for display. It is appropriate that the shop displays its pastries and chocolates in a jewel-case setting as they do, indeed, resemble jewels.
Great job in making my mouth water. :)
Just looking at them makes me want to go to the gym. :-)
Tantalizing but after christmas diner extra.
I might be tempted to taste the citron ... Intrigued by the squared off ends. Love the colors! Miam-miam!!!
I think Rick would like this just because of Victor Hugo! I would like it because it looks divinely decadent!
These look lovely. I have never bought a pastry from this shop. Aside from the price-I do not like that there is only one person working and I cannot ogle the pastries alone before deciding. Their pastries always look delicious.
Oh my gosh! What beauty and deliciousness!
I am still enjoying your incredible photos of Paris. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you my friend!
Pomegranate I would have to try , even though I am not a pastry person .. They all look fab.
I wonder how many people end up having more than one because they can't decide?!?!
My my my! These are gorgeous!
Too pretty to eat!
Looks scrumptious!
