Even under snow and grey skies The Seine looks delightful. A classic image Genie.

Love the way the overcast day produces just a light dusting of color as well. Lovely photo.

I wonder how often they prune the bridge Genie, you can see why romantics choose this spot to demonstrate their affection, it's just so Paris oui!

Grey day - I would still like to be there.

I wonder who started the thing with the locks?

Lovely despite the grey skies.

Have to wonder what it looked like before they pruned!
Starman -- pretty sure it started in Italy with the publication of a teen romance novel in which the young lovers did this (on one of the bridges in Rome, I think).

Pierre, moi aussi.

As much as I enjoy any view from this Paris bridge, but would love to see the sunset taken from the other end of this bridge, the one of my never-changing header.

May you have clear skies this weekend.

Genie

Now, you can't see the Seine for the mass of locks. I supported them for a time, but after this last trip, sadly I think they have become too much.

I'm pretty sure this is the one where my lock is; not sure, because there are a couple. Doesn't matter. It reminds me of something lovely. I'm sad when they have to remove them, but I understand.
