Perigot - design utilitaire

In the Galerie le Carrousel du Louvre
we found this fashion forward store selling household utensils,
all designed by Frederic Perigot on the concept that "simple" is better.
Every product is based on an aesthetic ideal, both practical and affordable.

The window design in itself was enough
to make me want to take home mops and dusters by the armful.

How about un chariot de marche for the daily market shopping?

Very cool! You can remember Paris while doing housework.

J'aime bien faire du lèche-vitrine à Paris cependant je rarement achete quelque chose.

Wonder what the teddybears in the back are for...

Les nounours sont peut-être des "doudous" pour consoler les mamans qui font le ménage !...

Jolie photo...

Gros bisous ma chère Génie.

I appreciate their philosophy ~ and like Rob and Mandy, I'm curious about the little teddy bear-like doodads in the background. If they are washing-up sponges, I don't think I could bear to use one!

Yes, a bit astonishing to find mops and dusters at a place like this! Nice to see how you can make simple things look so attractive!

A clever window display. I wonder if there is some subliminal marketing going on here. The mops and duster are all so neat as my kitchen would be if I purchased them.

If I can't eat it, I try not to take it home these days.

An inspiration to get myself organized! Would also love to know about those little creatures in the background - there are so many of them!

Very interesting promotional concept. It is appealing in an odd way.

Yes, I can see me now..."I'll take one of each item." I can easily be swayed to purchase an item based on store window displays and the marketing of a product. Advertisers sure have me pegged and this display is no different. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

My favorite kind of store. But I've noticed, over the years, that the stores come and go quickly in le Carrousel du Louvre.

I'd rather window shop in Paris than anywhere (and not just because it's Paris)!

Even a mop can be stylish! :)

Looks like quite the shopping experience.

James, like you I mostly look and rarely buy as it must fit in carry-on luggage

Starman, I think that I have only been in this area once before but I imagine that the rent must be quite high.

Harriet, I saw them on the website - They each hold in their tummy an extremely resistant, lightweight bag for shopping. You attach the bear to your purse and then use the back as an alternative to plastic! They come in different sizes even.

I think that this window is appealing and the message I got was, "just think how fun it would be to clean with these!" Great marketing. I am always fascinated by the French ability and creativity in their store windows. It makes us look like slackers in most cases.

Bises,
Genie
