A simple awning with clean lines over the blazing blooms is a fantastic photo. The iron work adds a subtle touch, too.

I love the way the sunlight hits the top of the shutter.

Rouge; très intrigant. Ceux ressemblent aux roses à moi.

Très bien, encore, Génie!

Hello Genie:
Seeing plants on window sills as you show here we always think of, somehow, as being very typical of European cities and, for whatever reason, outside of the British tradition.

That is just so pretty. You know every time I visit your blog, your header photo transports me to Paris for a short trip. I just love it. Diane

Such a treat to find an unexpected splash of colour, especially when it's your favourite colour. I love window boxes and potted plants put out on balconies.

Thank you all for your kind and thoughtful comments. I never tire of seeing the beautiful windows in Paris and wondering who lives there.

I am home and will catch up with you all in the morning. The problem I had while traveling related it appears to my laptop.

Bises,
Genie
