Swan Lake

Once upon a time a Princess named Odette 

was under the spell of the Evil Wizard Rothbart.

 He turned her into a swan after the moon set

and the spell could only be broken by a vow of everlasting love.

The Paris Opera Ballet performed Rudolph Nureyev's production of 

Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake earlier this year. The Repetto window 

pays homage to the genius of the composer and the choreographer.

The large window of the Repetto flagship store on Rue de la Paix

will always amaze you with its beauty and creativity.  

My favorites are those which feature a ballet such as this one.

After several years of  edgy, often punk-styled, windows,

Printemps has returned to a more traditional, romantic theme

in the 2015 Christmas window displays

In over an hour spent photographing the windows of

Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, we saw only a handful of 

children at the viewing stands to see the windows.

The store windows in Paris are always creative. 

During the Christmas season the windows of the Grands Magasins 

are both animated and magnificent!

This smaller window displays one of the beautiful domes

of Printemps which is enjoying a year-long 

celebration of its 150th anniversary.

The two windows of  Hermès'

rue de Sèvres shop was filled with an array

of crystal glasses with a backdrop of translucent silk.

The jewel-toned colors of the silk 

blown into action by an oscillating fan

created a colorful motion in the mirrored reflection.
