The bandstand

This square is a work of the architect Jean-Camille Formigé
and was established in 1896.
It is a long, narrow green space providing benches
and a play area as well as this bandstand.
The landscaping and trees buffer the noise from the busy Rue de Vaugirard.

Although hidden in this photo,
you can see the Eiffel Tower just over the bandstand.

Beautiful, delightful capture as always, Genie, and on this gray, chilly, wet night, it looks particularly appealing!! Hope your week is going well!

I wonder what wonderful music is performed here during fête de la musique. What a beautiful spot!

Nice to see flowers in the square Genie. They are far and few between in our park lands these days.

What a pretty Parisian pocket park! A nice escape off the beaten tourist path --
