Lenôtre

Lenôtre

A little something for your  sweet-tooth on a Monday.

The Schuss cake is one of the crown jewels
of a famous French cooking school: Lenôtre.
The base is a sponge cake with a layer of mousse
and a topping of whipped cream.
The varieties and flavors are endless.

Although I admire the aesthetics of this dessert,
I prefer a tart or a portion of chocolate.

How about you?

It's so beautiful that it would seem a shame to actually eat it.

Miam miam! It looks delicious, but I must admit that I too prefer chocolate!

Gorgeous ... But, you know me and my fondness for all things chocolate :)-- although that citron tart in the back with the perfectly browned meringue is very tempting!

I'd be willing to give it a try.

This is absolutely stunning, a work of art. But yes, a fruit tart or a macaron would be my first pref!

Mon dessert préféré l'été est un pèche au vin rosé frais. Simple et peu onéreux...

Doesn't quite tempt me either—but, oh my, isn't it beautiful!?

That's not a cake, but a piece of art... Anyhow, I wouldn't mind tasting a slice of it.

Oooh, I'd love to try that. I prefer fruity desserts of pretty much any style, but will avail myself of chocolate if I have to.
