Jardin du Palais Royal - un skateboard

The Fountain at Palais Royal

This wide bowl of water with active fountains is not just for the retirees of Paris to prop their feet.  This twenty-something was reading, taking a moment to enjoy the quiet of the early morning.  He had the fountain to himself.

Ha, that's funny. I still picture grandmothers sitting beside the fountain and mothers with prams.

Nice to see even the skate borders take time to stop and smell the roses sometimes.

And the perfect transportation for a quick get-away when he is done! Great capture of a "not-so-traditional" Paris!

Here in the States, I don't see a lot of skateboarders reading while they take a break from zoom-zooming. Just sayin'.
