Une girafe de ruban

The Parisians certainly know how to dress up a window.  This ribbon shop (SHINDO) has an exquisite display of lifesized animals made of silk ribbons.

Giraffe's are a favorite of mine and this fellow did not disappoint.

bon weekend

You found a creatively decorated window today, Genie. I enjoy seeing the work of talented window dressers. Your giraffe is pretty cool.

They certainly do know how to dress a window don't they? I took a few photos of windows. I'm going to take more next time. Although those glass reflections are tricky.

I'll bet Suzi was in the ribbon shop in the Marais. I was there once and was not allowed photos. This is a new one for me. Don't you wonder how many hours it took them to make all those rosettes!

Beautiful!
I can't even imagine how many hours of work went into that giraffe alone.

Oh, creative indeed!! How delightful! I can only imagine the time required to create something like this! What a wonderful capture for the day, Genie!! Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

I like him, too. Did you know that no two giraffes have the same spots? I mean, the spots are sort of like fingerprints; no two alike.

I love the way the giraffe is put together. A sheep or a poodle would also make great subjects!

That is so cool! Giraffes are also my favorite! I've often wondered how it is that when they run they can look so graceful with such a long neck!

Beautiful! You are so lucky to be going again!

I'm adding this ribbon shop to my list. I found MOKUBA in the 1er arrond. and they would not allow any interior photos and it was only row after row of ribbon - no ribbon giraffes seen on the premises.

Irina, I am not there yet but will be soon.

Speedway, I think if you check out the link you will see a parade of ostriches in these same colors... very creative.

V, there are so many ribbon shops in Paris and most will not allow photographs. I did, however, get a shot in the ribbon department of Bon Marché.

Suzi, Paris is definitely calling your name.

Bises,
Genie
